Sir,
I beg to acquaint you that, in compliance with the request contained in your letter of the 30th Ultimo, 1 the necessary orders have been issued for the "Briseis"—as soon as all her stores are on board—to proceed to Gravesend, there to embark the men, &c, she is to convey to Vancouver's Island.
