Sir,
With reference to your letter of the 9t Inst 1 I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you for the information of Secretary Sir E.B. Lytton, that orders have been given to the Senior Officer of HM Ships at Vancouver's Island to afford every facility to the party of Engineers which are about to be conveyed to thatIslandManuscript image Island in the Vessels "Thames City" and "Briseis," to reach British Columbia, with their Stores, in one of Her Majestys Ships of War.
