Sir,
I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to request you will state to Secretary Sir Bulwer Lytton that agreeably with his request 1 arrangements have been made for the withdrawal from the "Briseis" of the party of Royal Engineers intended to be conveyed in that Vessel to Vancouver's Island, and for their passage thither in the Euphrates, (now under survey), in which Vessel, the Brokers (Messrs Shaw Savill & Co) have offered to convey them as well as such government stores as the Briseis may be unable to receive.
