With reference to your letter of the 11th Instant, 1 I beg to acquaint you for the information of the Secretary of State, that the "Euphrates", having been surveyed and approved, has been accepted for the conveyance to Vancouver's Island of the party of non-commissioned officers and their families therein referred to, together with such Stores as the "Briseis" may be unable to receive.
The "Euphrates" will probably be ready to receive her passengers about the Middle of November, but a further communication will be made to you as to the precise date at which they may embark.
