Abstract
Correspondence (private letter). Minutes (1).
Moody requests the Admiralty be informed that no stores should be received on board the “Euphrates” except those chosen by Moody with the CO’s authority.
The minutes “mistrust” Moody. In Blackwood’s opinion he is “always in a hurry, & frequently wrong.” He recommends Carnarvon meet Moody and obtain an explanation. He conveyed the same message to Moody.

My Lord,
I would respectfully request that a communication be forwarded at once to the Admiralty not to allow any stores whatsoever to be received on board the Euphrates except such as may be named by myself with your authority.
In a subsequent letter I will explain further, but I am particularly anxious the above communication should forward immediately.

I so entirely mistrust Colonel Moody—who is always in a hurry, & frequently wrong—that I will not act on this without yr concurrence.
