With reference to my Despatch No 40 of the 15th of November 1 respecting the Bills drawn by Captain Parsons R.E. to defray the expenses of the conveyance of the party of Royal Engineers under his charge to British Columbia, I transmit to you herewithManuscript image the copy of a letter from the Treasury 2 stating that £1323 has been already issued on this account and that the Paymaster will be authorized to accept Captn Parson's Bills for a further Sum of £277 which will make up the amount of £1600 for which he has applied.
