Sir,
I have to request that you will acquaint Captain Grant R.E. that in consideration of the circumstances which he has represented to me in a letter dated from Panama, the 15th October, 1 I have sanctioned theManuscript image payment to him of an additional sum of fifty pounds (£50) to defray the expense of removing his family to British Columbia, and that the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury have instructed the Paymaster General to issue that amount to Messrs Cox & Co as Captain Grant's Agents.
