Despatch to London. Minutes (2).
Douglas writes to Lytton to acknowledge receipt of Lytton’s earlier despatch, in which Lytton endorses Spalding with “copies of testimonials as to his character and qualifications.”
In the minutes, Blackwood asks that the despatch be “Put by.”

I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of Sir Edward Lytton's Despatch of the 21st October 1858, not numbered, introducing to my notice Mr Warner Spalding, and endorsing, copies of testimonials as to his character and qualifications allManuscript imageall of which shall be treated with due regard and consideration.
