Despatch to London. Minutes (2).
Douglas writes to Lytton to acknowledge receipt of Lytton’s earlier despatch, in which Lytton endorses Trutch with “copies of testimonials as to his character and qualifications.”
In the minutes, Blackwood asks that the despatch be “Put by.”

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Sir Edward Lytton's Despatch of the 16th September last, not numbered, introducing Mr Joseph Trutch, and forwarding copies of testimonials as to his character and qualifications, and IManuscript imageI beg you will acquaint Sir Edward Lytton that the same shall receive every consideration.
