Sir,
I have the honor to enclose herewith a requisition made upon me by Colonel Moody, Commanding the Troops in British Columbia, for the sum of Three thousand Five Hundred pounds (£3500), to enable him to meet payments still due on MilitaryManuscript imageMilitary Account, and I beg to acquaint you that having no Funds at my disposal wherewith I could meet this Demand, I have been obliged to direct the Treasurer to procure the amount by Bills upon Her Majesty's Paymaster General.
