Sir,
I am directed by Mr Secretary Herbert to acknowledge the receipt of the Map and Report of certain Districts in British Columbia by Lieutenant Mayne R.N. forwarded with your letter of the 29th Ult. and I am to request that you will inform His Grace the Duke of Newcastle that the Map shall be lithographed and 100 copies furnished by the Topographical Branch of this Office in accordance with his wishes.
