Sir,
With reference to your Letter of the 30th Decr last, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay to the Account of Army Services the sum of £1,136.16.11 in repayment of the Expenses incurred by the War Office for Stores supplied to the Royal Engineers in British Columbia to replace certain articles which were lost at Sea in the "Briseis."
