Hamilton writes to Rogers, on behalf of the Treasury, to report that the “Paymaster General” has been authorized to pay Moody's salary of £300 for the quarter to 30 September, 1860, for his work as “commissioner of Lands and Works in British Columbia.”

With reference to your letter of the 13th inst. I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay to Col. Moody, R.E. the sum of £300, as Salary for the Quarter ended 30th September last as Commissioner of Lands and Works in British Columbia.
