I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to request you will move His Grace the Duke of Newcastle to cause the sum of Ninety eight Pounds ten Shillings (£98.10.0) to be paid to the Credit of Naval Services, being the Amount of Freight on 20 Tons of Hay and Oats shipped on board the "Thames City," which vessel was engaged on the 20 Augt 1858 to proceed to Vancouver's Island but whichStoresManuscript image Stores were discharged at Gravesend by orders of Colonel Moody.
The Paymaster General has been requested to receive this amount.

The claims of the Admy on acct of the conveyance of the first stores to B. Columbia never cease. I am unable to throw any light on this demand. Perhaps Colonel Moody may be able to do so. You will observe that this is a demand for freightage of Stores, whh according to this Letter, were discharged at Gravesend.
