We have the honor to enclose a certificate showing that Colonel R.C. Moody R.E. was alive and in the performance of his duties, as Chief Commissioner of Works in British Columbia, on 3rd ultimo, and request that the usual authority may be issued to HM's Paymaster General for the payment of that officer's salary, June quarter last.
