Lindsay to Fortescue (Parliamentary Under-Secretary)
The annexed ship is bound for the New Colony—as she is the
first steamer, I may be thereupon called the pioneer of the route.
You may like to see the particulars. The Duke of Newcastle may
also like to know, that if any inducement offers, I may afterwards
employ her between Panama & B Columbia.
If you have any recent information of interest from B Columbia it would be very desirable if it could be made known
through the newspapers, as my firm cannot supply the many
inquiries which are daily made in regard to the
last news & the prospects to capitalists & others.

The latest intelligence, of any great interest, which we
possess from B. Columiba is contained in the Parly papers
lately published.
