I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a letter from Mr. Alexander Scott relative to some landed property stated to have been left by James Duffy of the Royal Engineers, who died in British Columbia on the 9th of January 1861, and I have to request that you will cause enquiry to be made respecting this land, and report to metheManuscript image the result.
