The Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade have requested me to call your attention to the fact that the Merchant Shipping Act Amendment Act 1862, 25 and 26 Vict: Cap: 63 repeals inter alia those sections (170, 171 and 172) of the Customs ConsolidationActManuscript image Act 1853—16 and 17 Victoria: Cap: 107 which prohibited at certain times and under certain conditions the carrying of Timber on the decks of British Vessels bound to the United Kingdom from the North American Colonies.
