I have duly received your Grace's despatch of the 14th March No 15 acquainting me that the Agents General had been authorized to procure and forward to British Columbia certain articles required by the Assay Department.

2. Your Grace in this despatch draws my attention to the amount of the overpaid balance existing at the Agents General in their account with the Colony. With reference thereto I have the honour to acquaint you that I forward by this Mail to the Agents General the sum of One Thousand Pounds (£1000) to be placed to the credit of the accountcurrentManuscript image current and I will be careful in future to see that a Credit Balance is kept in their hands.
