I have the honor to forward herewith for Her Majesty's Confirmation the "Cooks Ferry and Clinton Road Bond Act 1863."
2. The Attorney Generals Report on this Act, herewith transmitted,entersManuscript image enters so fully into the subject, that I have only to acquaint Your Grace that this Act has been passed to create the Bonds necessary for liquidating the cost of the work on the uncompleted portion of the Lytton Alexandria Road, from Cooks Ferry to Clinton; and in reference to which I more particularly reported to YourGraceManuscript image Grace in Paragraph No 6 of my despatch No 30 of the 14th May last.

Refer to Treasy—with reference to No 30 of 14 May last—stating that HG does not see any reason to object to this Proclamation—but that the Govr should have forwarded with it a copy of the Indre of 17th April or at least of so much of that Indre as related to the conditions & periods of paying the contractor, and also shd have stated why the price of constructing the Road has been raised from £8500 (par 6 of dph of 14 May) to £12,783 to be increased on certain unspecified contingencies to £13,917.15.0—add that the Govr has been requested to furnish information on these points—and write to Govr accordingly.
