I have the honor to acknowledge your letter of yesterday's
               date instructing the Crown Agents to pay the Paymaster General
               the sum of £6900 for Silver Coin supplied by the Imperial
               Government to  
British Columbia and to enclose for the information
               of His Grace the 
Duke of Newcastle, copy of a letter received
               from the Colonial Secretary
of
 of that Colony on the subject of
               that payment, and I have to request that you will favor me with
               His Grace's instructions whether the amount named in your letter
               above referred to should be paid, or the balance £5052.3.8
               as requested by the Colonial Secretary.
