With reference to Mr Elliot's letter of the 9th Instant, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay to Messrs Cox & Co, on behalf of Col. R.C. Moody RE, Chief Commissioner of Lands & Works in British Columbia, the sum of £300, for his Salary during the Quarter to 31st March last.
