Sir,
I have the honor to transmit to you for your information a copy of a letter from one of the Agents General for Crown Colonies reporting that British Columbia six per cent Debentures to the extent of £50,000 were delivered to the Bank of British Columbia on the 12th of December last.
In reference to this subjectIManuscript image I have to request that you will furnish me with a statement of the Bills received from the Bank—their amounts and dates.
A statement of the sums realized by the sale of these Bills, and the parties to whom they were respectively sold, of the dates of the different sales, and the market rate of exchange upon London at the respective dates—also a statement of the amounts which will be payable by way of Interest on the Bills up to the 12th of December upon which day the Debentures were issued.andManuscript image And lastly a statement of the amount of interest which the Bank will have to pay to the Government on debentures delivered to them in London prior to the delivery of corresponding bills by their Agent to the Government in British Columbia.
