With reference to my Despatch No. 5 of the 17th instant I have the honor to acquaint you that I have laid before The Queen the Proclamation entitled "Ditches—Rules and Regulations under the Gold Fields Act 1859" and that Her Majesty has been pleased to confirm and allow it.
