With reference to your despatch No. 21 of the 21st of April last I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a further letter from Mr. Charles Walkem relative to the admission of his son to the Bar of British Columbia I had every reason to expect from the terms of your despatchthatManuscript image that Mr Justice Begbie would have paid prompt attention to the opinion you expressed on the propriety of making such amendments in the Rules of his Court as may render Canadian Barristers eligible for admission to practice, and I have to request that you will report to me what steps, if any,theManuscript image the Judge has taken for effecting this object.
