Sir,
Referring to the letter from this Office of the 24th
April 1862 transmitting in accordance with the (implied)
request contained in your letter of the 12th of that month
for certain Colonial Postage Stamps for the International
Exhibition of that year, I have the honor to state, for the
information of the Duke of Newcastle, thatthe

incurred by the Crown Agents on account of these Stamps
amounted to £1.1.0, for printing specimen sheets of the
British Columbia and Vancouver Island 2 1/2 Stamp, which was
charged in the accounts of this Office to the Government of
British Columbia.
