With reference to
Mr Elliots letter of
26th
Ultimo, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her
Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information
               of
Mr Secretary Cardwell, that They will not object to
               the Estimates of
British Columbia for the year
1864 [
1862], or to
the confirmation of the Ordinance No 3 of
1864, to apply
               the sum of £135,639.16
s.7
d to the service of that year.

Their Lordships would however observe that the
Abstract B Estimate of Expenditure, does not show the
amount actually expended in the year 1862, and that the
Abstract A Estimate of Revenue, shows the Approximate Revenue of 1862.

They would suggest that the attention of the Governor
should be called to this omission in order that the established form of
               preparing the Estimates of each
year
year may in future be complied with.
