I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the Duplicate
of your despatch No. 33 of
10th June, purporting to enclose a
Letter from the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury requiring
further
further information relative to the Supplementary Supply Ordinance
No. 18 of
1864.
2. As you are already aware from
Governor Seymour's despatch
No. 102 of
26th August, the Original of this despatch was lost
in the wreck of the "
Brother Jonathan" and no enclosure accompanied
the duplicate. I am, therefore, unaware what details may be
required by their Lordships.
3. The information desired
in in your despatch is furnished by
the Auditor General in a Report which I have the honor to enclose,
and I would beg leave to refer you to the General Report relating
to the Financial transactions of the year
1864, which accompanied
my despatch No. 108 of
14th September. The Explanatory Statements
appended to this Report are so full and so carefully drawn up that
it [is] probable they contain all the information required
by by the
Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury.
