In returning the Ordinance of British Columbia, to amend the Dues at the Port of New Westminster, together with that for the regulation of the Harbours of British Columbia, transmitted by you on the 31st Ultimo, for the opinion of this Board, I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade, to request that you will state to Mr Secretary Cardwell, that they see no reason why these Acts should not be left to their operation.
