I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to
request that you will acquaint
Mr Secretary Cardwell
that
William McColl, late Sergeant in the Royal Engineers,
has represented to this Department that he has not received
the grant of Land which it was agreed should to be given to
those men belonging to the
detachment employed under
Colonel Moody in
British Columbia, who might take
their discharge, with a view to settling in the Colony.
