I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 80
of the 7th of June last.

I derived much satisfaction from the perusal of your account of the
               celebration in
British Columbia of the Anniversary of the Queen's
Birthday; and I am especially pleased to learn that you found that
the
 the
Indians collected together on the occasion had made so much progress in
civilized habits since the time when you last met them.
