I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 93 of the 19th of July, reporting the execution of Ahan for this participation in the massacres of 1864, and that you had extended pardon to Suta, and sent him back to his Tribe.
My Despatch No. 60 of the 1st Instant willshewManuscript image shew you that I recognized the spirit by which you have been animated in dealing with these Criminals.
