No. 26

Ker, the Auditor General of this Colony to become one of the Local BoardofManuscript image of Directors of the Company.
2. The option remained to me to allow a Public Officer to become one of the Directors or to prevent the Company from extending its operations to this Colony.
3. The advantages to the Colony from the introduction of Capital are so great that I have allowed Mr Ker to act as a Director until I have referred the matter for Your consideration. I beg to recommend that Mr Ker be permitted to continueinManuscript image in the direction for the period named in my reply to Mr Crease.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,

Approve? See Circular 17 Decr/64, Sec. 4.
I should say disapprove, it appears to me as indefensible as possible. The Officer is an Auditor & the Company is a Loan Company.
