I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two plain Copies of an Ordinance of the recent session of the Legislature of this Colony, entitled: No. 16. An Ordinance respecting the conversion ofSterlingManuscript image Sterling Money into Decimal Currency in certain cases. I add the Report of the Attorney General.

[I do not quite understand this. Is a person who has to pay 13d sterling to pay 26 or 27 cents.
Again if an Imperial Act extending to the Colony (not imputed or adopted) requires payment of 1£ sterling, it is not competent to theManuscript image Coll Legre to define what 1£ sterling shall mean. To do this wd be (if anything was done at all) to alter the effect of the Imperial Law.]
