Sir,
The Crown Agents for the Colonies request that you will be good enough to furnish them withMr Secretary Cardwell's authority for the acceptance of the two bills referred to in the enclosed letter from the Acting Colonial Secretary of British Columbia.
The funds in the custody of the Crown Agents belonging to that Colony consist of £10,000 which is at present on deposit at interest withtheManuscript image the London Joint Stock Bank.
