Sir,
I am directed by the Board of Trade to acknowledge your letter of the 10th October, transmitting an Ordinance passed by the Legislature of British Columbia for the Regulation of Pilotage within that Colony and in reply I am to acquaint you for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon that this Board see no reason why Her Majesty should not confirm the Ordinance in question.
