Sir,
The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before Them your letter of 9th Instant and They desire me to acquaint you for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon that They concur in his Lordships recommendation that Mr Seymour Governor of the United Colony of British Columbia and Vancouver Island should be allowed to draw the sum of £400 as a contribution towards the expense of his return to the Colony.
