My Lord,
With reference to Governor Kennedy's despatch No. 68 of the 3rd September, stating that the Legislative Assembly of Vancouver Island had refused to pass any Law for the admission of IndianEvidenceManuscript image Evidence and to Your Lordship's reply expressing a hope that questions of this nature will be dealt with more effectually after the Union of the two Colonies, I beg to state that I propose to make the extension of the British Columbia Indian Evidence Act over the whole Colony one of the Government Measures of the approaching Session.
2. I have every expectation that the Matter will now be satisfactorily settled.
