My Lord,
I have the honor to forward a letter from Mr Watson, late Treasurer of Vancouver Island, requesting remuneration for the additional work and responsibility castuponManuscript image upon him by making payments and keeping accounts of the extra pay and allowances granted to the Royal Marines stationed at San Juan.
2. I add a report furnished by Mr Young, late Colonial Secretary of Vancouver Island upon the subject.

Without that report it is impossible to form an opinion, for Mr Watson's case rests very much on what heManuscript image says that he heard from Mr Young. Therefore write to the Governor to say that the copy of Mr Young's report has been accidentally omitted and request that it may be forwarded by the first opportunity?
