My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to forward herewith a Statement of sums paid on behalf of Her Majesty's Government for Pensions and Gratuities during 1866, together with the duplicate Vouchers. A sum of two hundred and ninety six pounds sixteen shillings and eleven pence (£296.16.11) is hereby shewn to be due to the Colony and I have to requestthatManuscript image that your Grace will be good enough to direct that the sum in question be paid to the Crown Agents for the Colonies on account of the Colony of British Columbia.
