I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Letter of the 24th Instant transmitting a copy of a Despatch from the Governor of British Columbia to the Earl of Carnarvon dated New Westminster 2 February 1867 on the subject of the sale of spirituous liquors to the Indians, and I have to request that you will convey to His Grace the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos the thanks of the Committee of the Hudson's Bay Company for the communication.
