Kitson to Secretary of State

Denford
Thrapstone
Northampton
My Lord,
I should feel exceedingly obliged if you would be kind enough to inform me to whom I should apply for information concerning the fate of one of my parishioners, Edward Pearson by name, who held a year ago 30 acres of land under Her Majesty's Government at New Westminster, British Columbia.

I imagine there is some officer of Government in that colony who would probably be able to satisfy his friends as to whether he is still alive.
Trusting that I am not too presuming in requesting the favour of a reply from your Lordship's office.
I remain, My Lord,
Your humble & obedt Servant
Edward Kitson
