Sir,
With reference to your Despatch No. 7 of the 21st December, I have the honor to transmit to you for your information, a Copy of a letter from the Clerk of the Commissioners of Patents stating that they are willing to present totheManuscript image the Public Library at New Westminster a complete set of their Publications.
With the exception of the Specifications, I have accepted on behalf of the Colony the works referred to, and the Crown Agents have been instructed to take the necessary steps for insuring and transmitting them to British Columbia by the first opportunity.
You will have the goodness to inform me whether the Specifications should be accepted on the terms mentioned in Mr.Woodcroft'sManuscript image Woodcroft's letter.
