Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 100 of the 5th September. My Despatch No. 77 of the 8th November has already conveyed to you Her Majesty's gracious Confirmation and allowance of the Ordinance of your Government No. 10 of 1867 "An Ordinance making provision for BarristersatManuscript image at Law, Notaries Public and Articled Clerks of the late colony of Vancouvers Island."
As regards Ordinance No. 20 entitled "An Ordinance respecting the legal profession," I have to inform you that Her Majesty's decision will be suspended until I hear from you what course your Legislature intend to adopt with reference to the draft Ordinance regulating the Constitution of the two Supreme Courts.
