Sir,
The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before Them your letter of the 16 Inst, inclosing Despatch from the Governor of British Columbia, in which he suggests that the Sinking Fund of the B. Columbia Loans should be invested in Colonial Securities, now below par.
My Lords desire me to state, for the information of the Duke of Buckingham & Chandos, that before they express any opinion as to the desireableness of the investmentasManuscript image as proposed, They would be glad to have the opinion of the Crown Agents with reference to the Correspondence which took place in 1865.
