Sir,
I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 153, of
the 29th November stating how much you are indebted to Mr. Needham
for proceeding to the scene of the disturbances in Cariboo, and for
bringing matters to a satisfactory conclusion.

acknowledgments for the services which this promptitude has enabled
him to render to the Government of British Columbia.
