Sir,
I have the honor to inform you that a Bill for £1500 drawn by the Treasurer of British Columbia for the maintenance of the Royal Marines Stationed on San Juan Island has been left at the Office of the Paymaster General.
I have requested theLordsManuscript image Lords Commissioners of the Treasury to authorize the payment of this Bill, but I have to point out to you that no advice of its having been drawn has been received at this Department although you stated in your Despatch No. 17 of the 10th of March last that you would see that regular notice in future accompanies every Bill drawn for the above purpose.
