With reference to my Predecessor's Despatch of the 19th September last, No. 74 I have to acquaint you that he has appointed Mr. Franklyn to be Civil Commissioner of the Seychelles Islands under the Government of Mauritius, withaManuscript image a Salary of £600 a year.
I will thank you to communicate this to Mr. Franklyn, and at the same time inform him that it is desirable that he should make arrangements for assuming his new duties without loss of time.
The governor of Mauritius has been duly informed of the appointment.
