With reference to Your Lordship's despatch N
o 4 of the
30th of
December I have to state that I
have have directed an immediate
remittance of two thousand pounds (£2000) to be made to the Crown
Agents.
2. We are anxiously working through a period of intense
depression. But I think that when the railroad is made across
the continent
British British Columbia will recover to a certain extent
her former prosperity.
3. To shew my zeal to keep up the credit of the Colony, I may
mention that I am now five months without Salary.
