My Lord,
I had the honor yesterday to receive Your Lordship's Despatch
No 100 of the 2nd November, transmitting to me the Queen's
Commission under the Great Seal appointing me to be Governor andCommander
Commander in Chief of the Colony of British Columbia and its
dependencies together with the accompanying Instructions under
the Royal Sign Manual and Signet, which shall be carefully observed.
